Internet usage rose by 30% in China in 1998

BEIJING--The number of Internet users in China hit 2.1 million last year, growing by 30% from 1997 as changes in the band width capacity gave much faster Web access. A survey found 41% of Internet surfers are aged between 21 and 25, 27% are between 26 and 30, and 11% are between 31 and 35.
