Interpublic adds A&L

Interpublic Group of Cos., New York, has reached an agreement to acquire business-to-business shop Anderson & Lembke, New York. A&L, which also has offices in San Francisco and Amsterdam, will operate independently and report to McCann-Erickson Worldwide Chairman-CEO John Dooner Jr. A&L has billings of $180 million and revenue of approximately $25 million. One of A&L's biggest clients is Microsoft Corp.--a client McCann has tried hard to win.
