NEW YORK ( -- Interpublic Group of Cos. today announced it has acquired Trans World Marketing, an in-store marketing firm.

The company will be part of a Interpublic's newly created In-Store Marketing Group, intended to provide services to all the holding company's marketing communications companies and their clients. The group will operate as an independently branded network aligned with McCann-Erickson WorldGroup.

William Kolb has joined Interpublic as CEO of the new In-Store Marketing Group. He was most recently president of International Marketing Services, New York.

Financial terms of the Trans World deal were not disclosed.

James Cavaluzzi will continue to lead Trans World as president. The East Rutherford, N.J.-headquartered company designs and produces in-store advertising displays, signage, fixtures, store environments and retail technology. It operates regional offices in Charleston, S.C., Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Stamford, Ct., and Winston-Salem, N.C.
