Ann Adriance, former head of the Saatchi's Kid Connection unit and senior group account director, will be the CEO of a new Interpublic unit, according to an executive familiar with the matter. The group will be part of the unit, which will market to youth and families with a focus on health and wellness.
A lawyer for the 17 staffers did not return calls.
The 17 Saatchi employees, who all worked on various General Mills' brands, left the agency following the resignation of their boss, Mike Burns, vice chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide and worldwide account director on General Mills. Mr. Burns, a 25-year veteran of the agency, began his advertising career working on General Mills at the marketer's longtime ad agency, Dancer Fitzgerald Sample, which later merged with Saatchi.
Friends of Mr. Burns said he is entertaining multiple job offers, while Mr. Burns has said nothing other than he is under contract to Saatchi until March 15.
