launches a $20 million, three-month campaign March 23 from new agency Y&R Advertising, San Francisco. The buy will include a network spot on ABC's Academy Awards broadcast March 26, according to an executive familiar with the campaign. The newspaper hopes the broadcast, print and outdoor campaign will draw in novice stock investors, expanding its base beyond seasoned investors who now read the paper. The newspaper had handled advertising in-house.
