IPG buys Atlanta agency

Interpublic Group of Cos., New York, said it has bought Austin Kelley Advertising, Atlanta, for an undisclosed sum. Kelley, which has billings of about $85 million, will retain its name and continue to be led by Geoffrey Nixon, president-CEO, as well as the rest of its management team. Clients of the Atlanta agency include Georgia Lottery, Churchs Chicken, HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Mercedes-Benz Credit Corp. In 1997, Interpublic's McCann-Erickson Worldwide acquired Atlanta agency Fitzgerald & Co.
