IPG buys interest in Nicholson

Interpublic Group of Cos., New York, acquired a minority interest in Nicholson NY, New York, a new-media specialist. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed. Nicholson will be part of IPG's Allied Communications Group and will continue to be run by majority-owner and CEO Tom Nicholson. Key clients of Nicholson include IBM Corp., Sony, Reader's Digest Association and Harper Collins.
