Irish combine beer and flying

Published on .

Dublin -- Kilkenny Irish beer is claiming a world first in brewing with the launch of a branded airplane - dubbed the "Kilkenny Flying Pint" in cooperation with Irish discount airline Ryanair.

The Ryanair plane is painted in the ruby and cream colors of the beer brand. The plane will be used by the airline on its busiest routes between Dublin and Europe.

"The sponsorship reflects the beer's growth in Europe and the fact it is now a truly international product," said Brand Manager Steve Tormey.
