ISP signs $35 million deal with Ericsson

Y-Pay, a new free Internet service provider based in Atlanta, signed an agreement to use Ericsson's Internet Advertiser service. The deal is worth up to $35 million over five years. In August, Y-Pay plans to launch its free Internet access and e-mail service, which users will receive in exchange for ads delivered to their desktops. Internet Advertiser uses BackWeb push technology to send users targeted multimedia ads.
