Isuzu will resume ads for Trooper

Isuzu intends to resume advertising the Trooper within two weeks and may offer a customer rebate or a special lease program to jump-start sales, Automotive News reports today. Sales of the Trooper plunged 50% in the 10 days following Consumers Union's Aug. 20 press conference giving the Trooper and its twin, the Acura SLX unacceptable ratings in rollover tests.
