iVillage to acquire Women.com

iVillage, whose iVillage Network includes iVillage.com, Lamaze Publishing and the Newborn Channel, agreed to acquire Women.com Networks. As part of the deal, Hearst Corp., which owns about 46% of Women.com, is committing $40 million to the venture, and up to $21 million in production and ad services over three years. The deal is valued at $47 million, based on the Feb. 2 closing price of iVillage common stock, $1.69.
