CBS will provide about $70 million in advertising, promotion and other considerations over four years in exchange for a majority ownership stake in iWon. The portal provides search services through Inktomi and content through partnerships with 25 Web sites, many of which are CBS sites such as MarketWatch, SportsLine and Hollywood.com. The site gives users entry points every time they do anything on the site. The entries give users a chance to win $10,000, given away every day; $1 million, given away every month; and $10 million on Tax Day--April 17, 2000. IWon breaks a $40 million campaign to promote the site Oct. 11 from Berlin, Cameron & Partners, New York. The tagline is "Why wouldn't you?''
