Jack Morton Worldwide acquires Planet Interactive

Jack Morton Worldwide, New York, an Interpublic Group of Cos. agency specializing in digital media communications, acquired Planet Interactive, a Boston-based multimedia developer of Web sites, CD-ROMs and digital media installations. Terms were not disclosed. Planet Interactive has a staff of approximately 30 designers, producers, programmers and other digital media professionals. Clients include Lotus, Gillette, Rational Software, Ernst & Young and the Smithsonian Institution. Planet Interactive co-founders and partners Joan DeCollibus, Glenn Johanson and David Willoughby are expected to remain with the company.
