Japan Travel Bureau to try the Net

Published on .

Japan Travel Bureau and Asatsu, Japan's fifth biggest ad agency, will start experimental use of multimedia terminals which provide travel information via the Internet starting Nov. 28; multimedia terminals will be placed at JTB's three stores in Tokyo, and are connected to Asatsu's server by optical fiber network. Users gain access to JTB'S homepage and full motion videos of overseas travel information; this is a part of the joint project of multimedia communication which Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. (NTT) started in 1994.
