JC Decaux wins outdoor board concession in Brazil

Published on .

PARIS--French outdoor advertising operator JC Decaux has won a public tender to supply, install and operate billboards and other outdoor ad sites in the Brazilian city of Salvador da Bahia, marking its second successful foray into Latin America in two months.

The 20-year concession will see JC Decaux install 5,742 ad venues across the greater Salvador da Bahia area. The contract also grants the French ad giant marketing rights to 1,278 billboards across the city.

JC Decaux picked up rights to install and operate outdoor infrastructure in Montevideo, Uruguay, last April.

The Salvador da Bahia project, valued at more than $90 million over the 20-year concession, is slated to get underway with the first in-stallation of infrastructure in September.
