Jeeves asks TBWA GGT Simons Palmer to handle $15

LONDON--Search engine Ask Jeeves U.K. has awarded its $15 million U.K. advertisingbusiness to TBWA GGT Simons Palmer.

The appointment follows a three-way pitch, includingRainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe Y&R and Delaney Lund KnoxWarren, both London-based. The incumbent was Euro RSCGWorldwide.

According to MMXI's latest figures in April, AskJeeves is the tenth most visited Web brand in the U.K. Unlikemost search engines, where users key in words, the servicefeatures a butler called Jeeves who invites users to ask questions inplain English. Ask Jeeves U.K. is a joint venture between Ask JeevesInternational of the U.S. and U.K. companies Carlton Communications andGranada Media Group.
