Jenny Craig launches review

Published on .

Jenny Craig Inc., Los Angeles, put the account for its chain of weight loss centers into review. Suissa Miller, Santa Monica, Calif., currently handles advertising for the company, which spent $23 million on measured media in 1999, per Competitive Media Reporting. Suissa Miller was able to keep the account two years ago after a similar review. In January, Jenny Craig launched an estimated $7 million campaign featuring Monica Lewinsky to gain attention for its programs, but replaced the effort after five weeks with a new ad touting the repositioning of its core weight loss program. Suissa said it would again try to retain the account.
