JetBlue ads take off

JetBlue Airways, New York, the start-up airline funded partly by financier George Soros, launched a newspaper campaign Jan. 11 as the carrier began taking reservations for travel between New York and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Buffalo, N.Y. Merkley Newman Harty is the agency. The airline's Web site also went live Jan. 11, in advance of service beginning Feb. 11.
