Jeweler breaks first campaign

Jewelry marketer Charles & Colvard, Morrisville, N.C., on Nov. 15 launches its first national advertising, via Kaplan Thaler Group, New York. The company will spend $2 million in the fourth quarter and another $6 million in 2000 promoting moissanite, a man-made gemstone. Charles & Colvard also will launch a redesigned Web site (moissanite.com) Nov. 15.
