A spokeswoman at the client said the two were chosen based on creative; now the marketer will decide which is the better business partner. A decision is expected the week of May 21.
The other semifinalists were Publicis Group's Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco, and Tracey-Locke Partnership, Dallas. Incumbent Richards Group, Dallas, wasn't involved in the pitch.
When asked why the client was looking for a new shop, the spokeswoman said, "We've just done a lot of analysis of the business, and we changed marketing executives."
