Michael Jordan's sponsors are finally getting into the baseball swing of things. Quaker Oats' Gatorade brand and Sara Lee Corp.'s Hanes men's underwear unit unveiled new spots last week featuring the former basketball star in his new baseball habitat. In the Bayer Bess Vanderwarker, Chicago, effort for Gatorade, Mr. Jordan limply hits a foul ball and notes: "I know what to do with the ball ... and very soon, I'll be able to do it." On deck with new Jordan ads: McDonald's Corp., which is said to have a multi-spot campaign from Leo Burnett, Chicago, due for imminent launch, but it's not known if they're baseball-themed.
