(June 18, 2001) -- Julie Kantrowitz is being named to a key post at global media powerhouse AOL Time Warner, overseeing the sale of cross-media packages to national advertisers.

Ms. Kantrowitz had been executive vice president of media sales at AOL Time Warner's Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, but left that division in May. Ms. Kantrowitz will report to Mayo Stuntz Jr., an executive vice president at AOL Time Warner under Co-Chief Operating Officer Robert Pittman. She will work closely with the company's Ad Council, composed of sales executives from various divisions.

She will coordinate and pitch deals across the company's ad-supported properties, from the WB network and Turner Broadcasting to America Online, Warner Bros. and Time Inc. A company spokeswoman declined comment on the pending appointment. -- Wayne Friedman
