Jung von Matt opens Internet arm

Published on .

HAMBURG--Jung von Matt here is to install a new department to handle clients' online activities. Previously, such business was farmed out to other agencies. Ingo Eck will head the new division, in which the agency plans to invest around $1.9 million. JvM does not plan to buy an online agency, however. Business is booming at JvM this year: the number of employees has risen from 280 to 315 and the agency expects gross income to soar by 15% to 20%. In 1999, JvM had gross income of around $14.6 million and billings of $97 million.
