(Aug. 27, 2001) -- Internet access service NetZero, Westlake Village, Calif., announced financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30.

The net loss for the quarter was $42.1 million, or 36 cents per share, compared to a net loss of $26.9 million during the same period last year and $91.4 million for the March 2001 quarter. Revenues were just under $12 million for the quarter, compared to $18.7 million last year during this time.

The company, which announced in June it would merge with Juno to become wholly-owned subsidiaries of United Online, also laid off 26% of its employees Aug. 1. -- Adrienne Mand
