Jupiter: Online auctions to hit $3.2 billion by 2002

In a new report released by Jupiter Communications, online business-to-consumer auctions are expected to generate $3.2 billion annually by 2002, bringing in a total of $7.1 billion in the next four years. Jupiter projects that online auction purchasers will grow from 1.2 million in 1998 to 6.5 million in 2002, making up 11% of the total online shopping population.
