(July 31, 2001) -- Internet analysis and measurement firm Jupiter Media Metrix, New York, announced financial results for the second quarter on Monday.

The company reported net loss of $48.2 million for the quarter, or $1.36 a share, compared with $27.9 million, or 80 cents a share, during the same quarter last year. Jupiter Media Metrix had revenues of $25.2 million for the quarter, compared with pro forma revenues of $38.3 million a year-earlier.

Jupiter and Media Metrix completed the merger of their two companies in September 2000. -- Adrienne Mand
