K-C hikes prices, adds products

Published on .

Kimberly-Clark Corp., Irving, Texas, said it will increase prices of Huggies diapers, Pull-Ups training pants and Goodnites underpants 5% on July 1. The Huggies Supreme premium line will have increased absorbency and an improved fastening system; the base Huggies Ultratrim line will get leak guards at the tops of diapers. K-C will also phase out boy-girl diapers in jumbo packs of Huggies Ultratrim, opting for a larger-count unisex pack. K-C also will roll out superpremium Huggies Supreme Care baby wipes with extra-thick material July 1. On Oct. 1, it said it will launch extra-large sizes of Pull-Ups and Goodnites and add licensed Mickey and Minnie Mouse designs for Pull-Ups.
