K-C silent about reports of review

Published on .

Kimberly-Clark Corp. refused to confirm or deny U.K. reports that it's in the late stages of a global review that could see its entire creative budget land at a single agency. "We don't comment on speculation on these sort of things," a spokeswoman at K-C's Surrey, U.K.-based European headquarters said in response to reports that the marketer has seen pitches from roster agencies Foote, Cone & Belding; J. Walter Thompson Co.; and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide. Suggestions of a creative consolidation follow a pan-European media centralization earlier this year when MindShare, London, picked up the $68 million account. One agency well-positioned in such a global review might be O&M, which just survived a review of K-C's feminine hygiene account in the U.S. and also handles the marketer's successful Huggies brand worldwide. No one at K-C global headquarters in Dallas was available for comment by deadline.
