K2 Design expands outside N.Y.

K2 Design, New York, which services clients including America Online, IBM Corp. and the New York Public Theater, plans to open a Baltimore office to service clients in that city and the metro Washington D.C. area. J. Eric Dorsch, 31, and Alan McDonald, 30, become VPs of that office and will hire 15 new programmers, account executives and graphic designers. Both were formerly directors of Internet business development at IBM Corp.'s Internet division in Falls Church, Va. Separately, K2 launches a Web site for the play "Rent" on Monday at. Title sponsorship for the site begins at $100,000 and up for a year. The site will highlight live theater events in different cities and will offer links to Ticketmaster and Tele-charge.
