Kahn takes helm at 'The New Yorker'

David Kahn, 39, will be named publisher of Conde Nast Publications' The New Yorker later today. He succeeds David Carey, also 39, who this week announced plans to become president-CEO of Gruner & Jahr's newly formed Business Information Group. Mr. Kahn was recruited by Mr. Carey last May as associate publisher of The New Yorker. Previously he had been publisher of World Publciations' Saveur.
