Published on .

Golden Lady, Matova, Italy, reached agreement to acquire Kayser-Roth Corp., Greensboro, N.C., marketer of No Nonsense and other brands of hosiery and socks. Terms of the deal, scheduled to close in January, were not disclosed. The privately owned Italian company was described by Kayser-Roth as the largest manufacturer and marketer of hosiery in Europe, with $400 million in annual revenues and 600 retail locations. Golden Lady President Nerino Grassi said he had ``great confidence in the direction Kayser-Roth is taking with its existing management team.'' In addition to No Nonsense products, Kayser-Roth produces licensed products including Calvin Klein hosiery, CK Legwear, Hue Legwear and Burlington hosiery and socks. Other brands include PrimaSport, Pluma and Timberland casual socks as well as private label programs for major retailers.
