Kelly-Springfield posts cut

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, said two marketing posts at its Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. unit are beling eliminated as part of its plan to merge Kelly-Springfield with Goodyear. One is the VP-custom brands post, held by John O'Rourke, 54, who is taking early retirement; the other is VP-Kelly brand sales, a post held by Frank James, 62, who is helping to integrate Kelly-Springfield operations with those of Goodyear. Goodyear said it expects to move sales, marketing and financial operations of Kelly-Springfield to Akron, Ohio, from Cumberland, Md., by next June.
