Kemper review down to 3

Published on .

Kemper Insurance Cos., Chicago, narrowed its agency search to Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago, and Minneapolis shops Carmichael Lynch and Martin/Williams. The new agency will succeed Kemper Lesnick, Chicago, on the insurer's $10 million to $12 million advertising account. The agency search is part of an increased focus on branding, which includes a new corporate identity and increased advertising spending, said Joel Borgardt, VP-corporate marketing. Kemper Lesnick was initially hired to work mainly on sports marketing and public relations, but as the company expanded its efforts, it needed a full-service agency, he added. A decision is expected in late May. Jones Lundin Associates, Chicago, is handling the review.
