Kinsella out at Pathfinder

Published on .

James Kinsella is out as editor of Time Inc.'s Pathfinder World Wide Web site. Though Pathfinder generated $2 million in ad revenue last year and is one of the more high-profile Web sites, the 1-1/2-year-old operation is still operating in the red.

A spokeswoman insisted the move today was not part of wider cutbacks. "It was a personnel issue," she said. "There is no change in the overall Pathfinder strategy."

Pathfinder has been under the direction of Paul Sagan, editor of Time Inc. New Media, since last November, when Walter Isaacson became managing editor of Time.
