Kmart computerizes shopping

Kmart Corp., Troy, Mich., is launching Kmart Solutions, an interactive in-store touch-screen PC station allowing customers to order items ranging from flower delivery to lawn service to swimming pools. Kmart Chairman-CEO Floyd Hall said the new service will be starting in 48 Detroit stores and will roll out nationally later this year.
