Published on .

Kmart Corp., Troy, Mich., reported net income from continuing retail operations of $21 million for the fourth quarter of 1995. But after a non-cash charge of $390 million, reflecting management's assessment of the impairment of the investment in Builders Square and certain international operations, plus a restructuring charge, there was a net loss of $420 million. For the full year ended Jan. 31, Kmart reported a net loss of $571 million, compared to net income of $296 million in 1994.
