Kmart tests own card

Published on .

Kmart Corp., Troy, Mich., on Monday unveiled a new Kmart credit card through Beneficial National Bank USA. The card will be tested in 160 Kmart stores and six Super Kmart Centers. If successful, it will be rolled out in August. The card will have no annual fee and feature low monthly payments and other benefits such as advance and/or exclusive sales and discounted sales incentives.

"Our new Kmart credit card is another step towards increased customer loyalty and improved convenience. The incentive programs will offer customers even greater value from their Kmart shopping experience and, in turn, their enhanced purchasing power will drive incremental sales volume for Kmart, said company Chairman-President-CEO Floyd Hall.
