Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y., made its second equity investment in an online photo company in less than a month, taking an undisclosed stake in photo-sharing Web site ememories.com. Kodak will offer its portfolio of digital products and services on ememories.com, a Los Angeles-based company that facilitates image storage and sharing on the Internet. Kodak will be the exclusive provider of Web photofinishing to ememories through Print@Kodak, a new service that offers print fulfillment for digital photos stored on photo sites. Ememories also will feature applications from kodak.com including the Kodak PhotoQuilt--composed of pictures and stories submitted by online visitors--and Kodak Picture Playground, a photo editing tool. The new partners also plan to initiate joint marketing and cross-promotional programs. On June 26, Kodak made an undisclosed investment in San Francisco-based Snapfish, which offers film developing, printing, storing and sharing for free online.
