Korean company buys Zenith

LG Electronics of Seoul, Korea, formerly Goldstar, will acquire a controlling interest in Zenith Electronics Corp., Glenview, Ill. The total transaction value is more than $350 million. Al Moschner will continue as Zenith's president-CEO. The Zenith-LGE combination follows a 20-year-plus relationship, which began with LGE producing radios for Zenith in the mid-70s.
