Kraft Foods Sept. 9 combined four of its New York-based units into two, naming Maxwell House President Ann Fudge to head a re- engineered Coffee & Cereals division and Kraft beverages executive James Craigie to lead a new Beverage & Desserts division. Mark Leckie, president of the Post Cereals unit and known for that division's April '96 price rollback, left Kraft to join Campbell Soup Co. as president-U.S. Grocery.

Ms. Fudge, 46, also assumes the title of exec VP, Kraft Foods, as does Mr. Craigie, 43. Mr. Craigie had been exec VP-general manager, beverages. Timothy Callahan, 37, moves to exec VP-general manager of cereals, succeeding Mr. Leckie, the company said. Todd Brown, 48, is continuing in his post as exec VP-general manager, desserts.

The realignment leaves two divisions in New York and five in Kraft's other main office in Northfield, Ill. The Northfield divisions are cheese, pizza, enhancers, meals and foodservice. A spokesman said there are no plans to reconfigure any of those units "at this time."
