(Sept. 4, 2001) -- Marketing firm L90, Los Angeles, has been selected by Lions Gate Films to promote its new movie O, a modern-day version of William Shakespeare's Othello, which was released Aug. 31.

The campaign is based around a sweepstakes promotion, offering users the chance to win a "Shakespearean" vacation to London.

The ads are running on targeted channels on the L90 network, including its entertainment channel. Several versions use an image from the film's offline movie posters and other advertising. Another version, the O Powerad, includes a flash introduction, information about the movie and cast, and a link to the official site (www.othemovie.com). -- Adrienne Mand
