Lamattina returns to Interpublic

Larry Lamattina was named president-CEO of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Allied Communications Group, a unit comprised of 10 independently run specialized communications and marketing companies. The post had been vacant since the departure last year of Richard Villante. The appointment marks Mr. Lamattina's return to Interpublic after three years as president-CEO of All American/Fremantle Television Group. Previously, he was chairman-CEO of Interpublic's E.C. Television and Fremantle International companies, and earlier had been worldwide marketing services director of Lintas Worldwide and chief operating officer of the Lintas' New York office.
