Land Rover eyes 9 contenders

Published on .

Land Rover North America, Lanham, Md., told Advertising Age Jan. 27 that nine agencies are vying for its estimated $30 million creative account. They are Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami; WestWayne, Atlanta; Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston; Texas shops GSD&M, Austin, and Richards Group, Dallas; New York shops Gotham, Hampel/Stefanides and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners; plus M&C Saatchi, London, which won Rover U.K.'s account last fall and is opening a New York office. Incumbent Grace & Rothschild, New York, isn't participating. Land Rover expects to name a new agency March 24.
