H&R Block is advertising two new services this tax season. For the American who's confident enough to do his own taxes-but not confident enough to be certain he's right-there's BlockCheck, in which a Block expert will double-chec k the return. Chairman Henry R. Bloch makes his traditional ad appearance in the spot, titled "Magnifying Glass." DDB Needham Worldwide, Chicago, handled the $5 million BlockCheck campaign. Publicis/Bloom, Dallas, created a separ ate $5 million effort for the new H&R Block Premium service.
