Before snapshots were such a snap, Henri Cartier-Bresson was a pioneer in that method of photography in the first decades of the 20th century. Later, he applied the style to drawing and painting. Colle & McVoy, Minneapolis, feature d some photos by Cartier-Bresson in ads promoting a recent exhibit of his work at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. The ads ran in magazines and on bus shelters.
