Nissan Motor Corp. USA also uses NBC's telecast of Super Bowl XXX to debut a safari-theme campaign for the redesigned Pathfinder sport-utility vehicle. TBWA Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif., filmed the 30-second teaser spot on location in Africa. It features nature show-style footage of animals-and some tourists checking out the sport-utility. The $22,399 Pathfinder is far more carlike than its predecessor, putting Nissan in the mainstream of a booming category dominated by Ford, Chrysler and General Motors.
