Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays turned to a print ad in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch after stations in that city either rejected PFLAG's TV campaign or would run it only in late-night time periods. Shepardson Stern & Kaminsky, New York, created the $1 million anti-hate campaign. The group has had more success with the TV effort in Minneapolis and Seattle.
