Published on .

MIAMI--An industry trade group, the Television Association of Programmers (TAP) Latin America has published a legal guide for pay-TV in the region.

The first edition of "The TAP Legal Compendium: A Guide to Laws Governing the Multichannel Industry" is a compilation of pay-TV regulations for seven key markets. It outlines the laws on the licensing of foreign programming, regulations for local cable operators, content requirements, advertising, contests and sweepstakes, and broadband delivery in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.

Future editions will add other markets and include information on customs issues and vendors as well as key business contacts.
