Lauder finds partners for beauty site

Published on .

Estee Lauder Cos., Chanel and Clarins will team up to relaunch beauty Web site Gloss.com during the first quarter of 2001. The site is being redesigned to sell prestige fragrances, skincare products and cosmetics from the three companies, which will share the site's ownership. Lauder initially acquired Gloss in April as part of an overhaul of its Internet strategy, which included plans to link the site to Lauder's existing sites for the Estee Lauder, MAC Cosmetics, Clinique, Bobbi Brown and Origins brands.
