Lazarus exits Microsoft

Jon Lazarus, a major force in Microsoft Corp. promotions and marketing, is retiring as VP-strategic relations June 30 after 11 years at the company. Mr. Lazarus, a close aide to Chairman Bill Gates who served as agent on Mr. Gates' best-selling book, played key roles in developing the Windows 95 launch and Web promotions for the Super Bowl and Academy Awards.
